Choosing your race

Once logged in, the app shows the “Select your race” window. It lists the races of your VR account as thumbnails: the race picture, its name above, its state below.
The race selector
The state written under the thumbnail tells you what you can do:

Tap the thumbnail of your race. The app then loads your boat’s polar, its position, its track and the fleet, and shows the map centred on your boat. If you tap a “Not registered” race, a message says: “Impossible to select the race. You are not registered on this race.”; for an “In preparation” race: “Impossible to select the race. The preparation of the boat is not finished.”
Going further
Reopening the selector. Three places open the same window:
- the race name pill at the top of the map;
- the race picture at the top of the left panel;
- the “Race” row of the settings panel on the right (it shows the name of the open race).
These are disabled while a routing is being calculated. The “Dismiss” button closes the selector without changing race.
At the next launch. The app reopens the last race you chose automatically if it still exists and is neither “Not registered” nor “In preparation”. Otherwise it shows the selector.
Rank. The rank is followed by “st”, “nd”, “rd” or “th” in English (1st, 2nd…), then “/” and the total number of skippers in the race. “Finished” (you crossed the line) and “Completed” (the race is over) are two different labels in English.
Races that do not appear. The list comes from Virtual Regatta: a race missing at VR is missing here. Personal zones drawn for a race that no longer exists are removed from the app.
