Several routings

The essentials

Each calculation is added to the “Routings” tab without erasing the previous ones. All the routings in the list are drawn on the map, each in its own color.

• To compare two targets, two departure times or two forecasts, run both calculations: both routes stay visible.
• The timeline marks the start and end of each routing, in its color.
• A row name recalls the weather run used (for example “06Z +384”), which lets you tell a routing made this morning from one made yesterday.
• To delete some, tick the box at the left of the rows concerned, then “Delete selection” at the bottom of the tab.

Going further

Colors. The application draws a vivid random color for each new routing, avoiding a hue already taken by an existing routing.

One routing selected at a time. Touching a routing row selects it and deselects the others. In Expert mode, only the selected routing shows its isochrones.

The last one sent. The routing table button is green on the routing whose orders were sent to VR last. An old routing can no longer be sent: see Sending to VR.

Other boats’ routings. Competitors’ routings appear in the same list, under the name of the routed boat: see Routing a competitor.

Lightening the map. If the map is crowded, delete old routings, or reduce the number of route barbs: see Setting the routing display.
