Trial and purchase
BeginnerThe essentials
- Open the settings panel, then “Subscription” (or touch the round purchase button on the map).
- The “Premium Subscription” window opens. Its “Validity” line shows your state: “Unsubscribed”, “Up to” followed by a date, or “Expired”.
- The “Auto renewal 3 months” line carries the purchase button, which shows the store price. Touch it and follow the store screen.
- The trial is shown under that line: “1 week free trial” on iPhone, iPad and Mac, “7 day trial” on Android.
The Premium Subscription window
On Windows there is no purchase button: the window explains that the subscription must be taken on the App Store or the Play Store, and will then be shared with your other devices.
Going further
- Stores. The purchase goes through the App Store on iOS and macOS, and through the Play Store on Android. The app never sees your bank card.
- Price. As long as the store has not answered, the button shows a waiting indicator instead of the price. The price is the one of your country.
- Greyed button. The purchase button is only active if you are not already subscribed.
- Renewal. The subscription renews every 3 months. On the Apple side the amount is charged at the end of the trial when you confirm the purchase, and the subscription renews unless cancelled in the 24 hours before the end of the current period. On Android the amount is applied to your Play Store account at the end of the trial, unless you cancel before.
- Links in the window. “Subscription information”, “Terms of use” and “Privacy policy” open pages of the website. “Dismiss” closes the window.
- Purchase that does not go through on Google Play. Payment validation depends on your bank and on the Play Store, not on the app. Our FAQ suggests trying again, trying another card or a prepaid Google Play card, or buying from an Apple device. A payment tied to your phone operator generally does not work: prefer a bank card.
- Subscription not validated. If the window shows no validity date, the app has not received your subscription.
