The weather is late

The essentials

The game forecast is sometimes not updated at the expected time: NOAA, the American agency that produces the GFS model, can be late in producing or distributing its files. As long as it has not caught up, the weather of the game does not move. eSail4VR stays in step with the game: in that case you have nothing to do, the delay resolves by itself.

If you think the problem comes from the app, reload the weather: setting “Reload weather forecast”, round button to the left of its label. The button forces the download.

Going further

• Routing impossible. If the message is “Routing impossible as it starts after the end of the weather forecast”, the latest forecast is not loaded: reload the weather before starting again.
• First download. The app asks before downloading the weather data of your routing, showing the size in MB. Accept to continue.
• Account without a subscription. The files are limited to 5 days; with Premium they cover the whole length of the race. A long routing can therefore stop “at the end of the weather forecast” without a subscription. See What Premium gives.
